Title: ‘Inscapes’ Project (31cm x 37cm and 32cm x 61cm)

Media: oil, emulsion and acrylic paint; spray paint; sand; printing ink and Indian ink applied using brushes, knives, thistles and a spray-nozzle bottle on card and wood.

Description: These paintings are both based off the same seascape – I experimented with expressionist mark making on the left painting first. I aimed to evoke the anger of the spitting waves on the rocks while simultaneously recreating the melancholic atmosphere caused by the sea mist.
