Description: This project explored how one can visually portray a ‘distorted human psyche’ and mental illness through artistic methods such as composition, colour palette and body language. Above shows the development of my ideas from a sketch; an experimental painting; to the two refined larger paintings. For the paintings I stuck cotton to the canvas to create a 3D rippling effect on the bed sheets.
